Climate Chaos? Don’t Believe It
Most scientific evidence points toward an alarming trend of a warmer planet, with a meltdown of polar caps, extinction of species and extreme weather that will threaten populated coasts throughout the world. A small group of people – including writer, puzzle-maker and former advisor to Margaret Thatcher Christopher Monckton – suggests that the warnings about global warming are alarmist and ignore a period during the Middle Ages with record high temperatures. Monckton argues that United Nations data is skewed and he blames a hotter sun for increasing temperatures throughout the 20th century. If he is right, then any global efforts to reduce energy consumption could fail to reverse the trend of global warming. Few scientists support this theory, and slowing excessive and wasteful consumption of natural resouces still offers other health and economic benefits. When a problem emerges, such as climate change, it's human nature to want to take action. – YaleGlobal
