Kerry Donors Include ‘Benedict Arnolds’

US Presidential hopeful John Kerry receives donations from companies and individuals that utilize off-shore tax havens and operations, the Washington Post has found. These are exactly the same group that Kerry labeled as 'Benedict Arnolds', referring to a traitor in the American Revolutionary War. With the growing number of firms that have moved operations overseas or have set up tax-havens to reduce their tax burden at home, it is not surprising that Kerry has received such donations. President Bush's own campaign has received "exponentially more" from these sorts of companies, says this article. But only Kerry has made outsourcing and tax-havens a battle-cry. Some Democrats fear this duplicity could haunt Kerry later, especially if the outsourcing of capital and jobs - already a contentious issue in the US - becomes a deciding factor in the November presidential elections. – YaleGlobal
